The EC135 Emerges as a Strong Contender in the U.S. Corporate Helicopter Market

The helicopter is the best-selling light twin in the United States

October 7, 2008

Since its introduction, the EC135 has been a top choice for operators in many different markets throughout the world and it is the best-selling light twin helicopter in the United States. With its sleek, stylish design, the EC135 has emerged as the aircraft for luxurious corporate/VIP travel and the aircraft is already the preferred platform for the U.S. EMS market.

The EC135 has received accolades from its current corporate/VIP customers and Marc Paganini, American Eurocopter President and CEO, believes that it is the helicopter that will help bring them to number one in the U.S. corporate/VIP market.

Turnberry Associates is one of the customers who have purchased the EC135 for corporate/VIP travel. "We picked the EC135 because of its attractive design, its twin-engine performance, advanced technology and its spacious cabin," said Larry Aitkens, Director of Operations at Turnberry Associates. "We evaluated a lot of aircraft before we made our decision and the EC135 came out on top and we are looking forward to the delivery of our aircraft."

"We are already the leader in the law enforcement and air medical markets in the United States. It is our goal to be number one in the corporate and VIP travel industry as well," explained Paganini. "The EC135 provides the corporate market with high performance, advanced design, safety and multi-purpose capabilities. It is perfectly suited for this market."

The aircraft's combination of performance, safety, comfort and versatility make it unique in the industry. The EC135's high-set main rotor and shrouded Fenestron tail rotor also provide it with a smooth ride, safe ground handling and an environmentally conscious sound signature. The aircraft offers a spacious, quiet cabin with a large rear-loading baggage hold that can accommodate golf clubs, gear and luggage for a long weekend.
