Maverick Helicopters Surpasses 60,000 Flight Hours on EC130 Fleet, takes delivery of 28th EC130 at Heli-Expo 2008

February 25, 2008

Maverick Helicopters, one of Nevada’s top aerial tour operators, has surpassed 60,000 flight hours on its fleet of EC130 helicopters from American Eurocopter. Maverick has an all-Eurocopter fleet of EC130s, which they call “Eco Stars,” and at the Eurocopter booth at Heli-Expo 2008, they took delivery of their 28th EC130.

“In just under five years, Maverick has accumulated more than 60,000 flight hours on its Eco Star fleet,” said Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter. “This is quite a testimony to the company and to their helicopter of choice, the EC130, an aircraft designed for and with the tour operators.”

Maverick received its first EC130 in March 2003, which went into service in July 2003. Since that time, the company has grown into the largest operator of EC130s in the world.

“The EC130 is a perfect fit for our tour operation. It offers comfort, power, space, and it is the quietest helicopter in its class,” said John Mandernach, Vice President of Maintenance, Maverick Helicopters. “In fact, it is one of the most comfortable helicopters I’ve ever flown, and it is one of the most powerful. We are never limited by the engine, even on the hottest summer day.”

Maverick’s goal is to offer their clients the safest, most comfortable VIP service possible. The EC130 is made for that mission and that is why the company has become an all-Eco Star fleet operator.
