American Eurocopter Hires New Manager of Public Relations

May 8, 2006

American Eurocopter Corp. recently added to the Communications Department with the hiring of Bill Prickett, APR as the manager of public relations, a newly created position. His duties will include internal/employee communications, media relations, writing, community relations and special events promotions/publicity.
He comes to the position with more than ten years of experience in the public relations industry. Prior to American Eurocopter, he was the manager of public relations for Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) in Irving, Texas, for 5 years. He has also held similar positions with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) of Greater Fort Worth. He’s also worked as a meeting planner, speaker and teacher.
“I think my diverse work history is an asset for this opportunity,” says Prickett. “When you work for nonprofits, often with limited budgets and personnel, you learn to do it all! My background in public relations, communication and media relations should combine to make a good fit here at American Eurocopter. They are a great company, with a solid reputation and a proven product. There’s so much potential for this new position and I look forward to the challenge.”
Prickett has earned the prestigious Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation, which is given to those with significant experience in the PR industry who have successfully demonstrated competency in the knowledge, skills and abilities required to practice public relations effectively in today’s business arena. He is very active in the leadership of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the association for PR professionals. He serves as vice president for the Dallas chapter of PRSA and as chair for a national professional interest section.
“I’m delighted to welcome Bill to American Eurocopter,” says Brenda Reuland, V.P. of communications and public relations. “I’m certain he will be a great addition and asset to our department.”
Prickett is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in communication, administration and psychology. As a writer, he’s had many articles published in local and national publications throughout the country. He can be reached at 972-641-3505 or
