Omniflight to Acquire Five Additional EC135s from American Eurocopter

September 17, 2007

From the 2007 Air Medical Transport Conference in the Tampa Convention Center, American Eurocopter announces that Omniflight has agreed to acquire an additional five EC135s.
Earlier in the year Omniflight signed a contract with American Eurocopter to acquire a total of 25 aircraft, 24 AS350B3s and one EC135. This agreement will provide Omniflight with a total of six EC135s.
“We are proud that Omniflight has chosen to acquire an additional five EC135s,” explained Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter. “The EC135 ‘is made for the mission’ and will provide them with a versatile, high-performance and cost-efficient platform to continue to grow and provide top-level service in the industry.”
Founded in 1962, Omniflight has grown into one of the leading providers of air medical services in the industry. The company currently operates a fleet of over 70 helicopters in the mission to operate in the safest possible manner to ensure the best care of customers, patients and employees.
Providing a unique combination of performance, safety and versatility, the new generation EC135 is the market-leading EMS twin helicopter, accounting for 60% of U.S. deliveries in 2007 to date. Developed to comply with the strictest JAR Part 27 safety standards, the EC135 was designed in close cooperation with doctors and medical flight crews, resulting in a helicopter that was truly ‘made for the mission.’ The EC135 is offered with a wide range of dedicated EMS interiors, maximizing operator choice, and provides ample room for single-patient or dual-patient transport. The EC135 is equipped with an anti-resonance isolation system (ARIS) that ensures a smooth ride to safely transport injured patients.
