American Eurocopter sets sales record at AMTC 2007 in Florida

September 18, 2007

American Eurocopter set a sales record at the 2007 Air Medical Transport Conference in Tampa. The company received sales for 23 aircraft during the show, announced seven more and delivered the first EC145 to Memorial Hermann Life Flight.
“The AMS industry is a key market for Eurocopter, which has invested heavily over the years by developing new models and new technologies to address the challenging missions of this market,” said Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter. “Consequently, the AMS industry in the United States is now a big part of our success at American Eurocopter and we are thrilled to have received such enthusiastic response and commitment from operators and air medical programs at the this year’s show.”
During the show, American Eurocopter announced sales with several AMS organizations within the U.S. including Med-Trans Corporation (16 – EC135s), Omniflight (5 – EC135s), Cook Children’s Hospital (1 – EC145), and REACH Air Medical Services (1 – EC135). These sales represent over $100 million in sales and commit American Eurocopter to deliveries through 2011.
American Eurocopter also announced the order of three EC145s for the Cleveland MetroHealth System to update its Metro Life Flight critical care transport fleet, and Airlift Northwest, who has ordered four EC145 helicopters to expand the company’s mission capability and upgrade the company’s fleet.
