JLT Group Incorporated Moves Into Helicopter Leasing by Purchasing Six EC155s from American Eurocopter

February 24, 2008

American Eurocopter announced today that JLT Group Incorporated has purchased six EC155s. JLT Group, with its aviation arm Corporate Concepts International, Inc., plans to integrate the helicopters into its rotorwing activities to meet the needs of a variety of customers, including EMS, VIP and Offshore clients. The EC155s are scheduled for delivery in 2010.
“This order represents the start of a great relationship and we are excited that JLT Group has chosen American Eurocopter and the EC155 as the platform for their rotorwing activities,” said Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter.
Worldwide, JLT Group has purchased over 75 corporate jets, airliners and regional airliners in the past four years that have all been placed with CCI. Under the visionary aviation leadership of Jerry Trooien, JLT Group has studied helicopter markets and developments over the past three years, and with the guidance of Ron LaFleur, a former Vice President of Aerospatiale Helicopter Corporation now with CCI, and Dennis Blackburn, President of CCI, JLT Group has determined that American Eurocopter and the EC155 were the best choices for its move into helicopter leasing.
“We looked at the industry and we knew we wanted to get in with the industry leader,” explained Jerry Trooien, owner of JLT Group. “Eurocopter has a real winner in the EC 155, and I believe that it is the ultimate EMS machine, the perfect VIP helicopter, and the best mid-sized workhorse for the Offshore market.”
The 13 passenger (plus one pilot) EC155 is a twin-engine, long-range helicopter with the very latest technological innovations; making it one of the most reliable helicopters on the market today. The EC155's advanced Fenestron tail rotor and five-blade main rotor make it the quietest rotorcraft in its category and yield superior maneuverability, performance and reliability.
This first order from JLT Group represents just the first step in this new relationship. Trooien explains, "After visiting with American Eurocopter, and specifically with Marc, I felt a dynamic coalition could be put together with American Eurocopter and JLT to bring a new generation of total service to users throughout North America.”
JLT Group is known for providing its customers with top notch products and service, which is something that American Eurocopter also believes in. “Jerry is a businessman with a focus on the customer, and JLT Group provides the very best to their customers in products and service to ensure their satisfaction,” says Paganini. “American Eurocopter shares that same focus and we will work with them to maintain this same level of commitment.”
“This is all about the client and bringing them what they need, the way they need it, and when they need it,” continues Trooien. “We look forward to further discussions with Marc and his team for JLT to acquire additional Eurocopter inventory to prepare us to meet client’s needs worldwide for all size and numbers of Eurocopter products.”
