EagleMed adds to its Airbus Helicopters AS350 fleet for critical care air medical services; latest delivery brings AStar fleet to 15 aircraft

Commitment to AS350 is based on aircraft’s dependability and mission capability

ORLANDO, Florida (March 3, 2015) – Airbus Helicopters Inc. is pleased to announce that EagleMed LLC, a subsidiary of Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH), is committed to growing its fleet of Airbus Helicopters AS350 AStar helicopters.

EagleMed has ordered three AS350s and taken delivery of two since May 2014, including one delivered Feb. 19. Delivery of the third aircraft is scheduled for May. The new AS350s open up additional service opportunities for EagleMed's critical care transportation business and are part of the company's fleet modernization plans.

With the latest AS350 delivery, EagleMed will operate an all AS350 fleet of 15 helicopters along with 20 Beechcraft King Airs in 12 states serving 30 locations. The interior for the latest EagleMed AS350 was installed by Metro Aviation, of Shreveport, La. All of the EagleMed aircraft are configured for mission critical transports and equipped to transform them into "flying ICUs."

"We are proud of our history serving EagleMed and are pleased to have earned their commitment to standardize their fleet with the AS350. The AS350 AStar has established itself as the most popular single-engine air medical services and EMS rotorcraft in U.S. service, offering a combination of performance, reliability and a spacious cabin that is ideally suited for the mission," said Treg Manning, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Airbus Helicopters Inc.

"As EagleMed expands and continues to modernize our rotor wing fleet, the AS350 is our go-to aircraft for critical care air medical transports," said EagleMed President Larry Bugg. "The Airbus Helicopters AStar has proven itself during thousands of flights through the years and remains our helicopter of choice for the regions we serve."
